exposure

So here's something new - again - this time it's oil pastel collage, with acrylic. My grandson saw a jack o lantern in it, while others have seen a person on the beach, a car and for me - well I see a lady bug crawling out of the flowers. That's the wonderful thing about abstract!

Rooster on Mylar

This week I am trying new surfaces to work on. Mylar (for anyone who is not familiar with it) is a drafting paper, which has a kind of waxy surface. An artist friend of mine, www.elshaleventis.com uses it all the time, and loves it. It is certainly easier to store work. You can roll it up, mount it on board, frame it behind glass. Maybe this will be the new me??

Chicos

I love my giraffes! This is one of my new series. Size 24x30 and quite textured with differing media and a variety of paints. All acrylic. I'm a happy painter this week!
